I started since I was 6 years old.

Although I didn't understand much of what was going on on Mortal Combat all I had to do was button mash for the victory sign to come up lol.

If i'm in the wrong forum topic my bad.

My mom's a pretty big video game fan, so when I was still in the womb she sent a controller down the umbilical cord so I could get a feel for it. It was pretty sweet!

So, -0.2 years old.

I was 10 when Pong first hit the arcade in 74, it had been out in few select places before that but was not widly released. It might have been 73 so I might have been 9.

I can't put down an exact figure, but I must have encountered them in my childhood sometime in the early 1990s(born 1990, if that helps give you a frame of reference). The earliest games I can remember playing are either on the NES or on my father's IBM clone. We also had a Magnavox Odyssey2 or something like that(Magnavox for sure, membrane keyboard on the console itself, graphics not much better than an Atari VCS/2600), but I don't remember encountering that until later. On the NES side, you obviously have those SMB+Duck Hunt carts. I also played Metroid a lot, though I didn't really progress through it like I could now. An obscure title known as Legacy of the Wizard was also one of those games that took up my time, and another one where I could have really used a manual. (I did encounter a hard copy of the manual much later at a thrift store, but foolishly didn't spring for it for whatever reason.) On the IBM PC side, there was good old Tetris, a sort of 3D version of Tetris, Commander Keen IV: Goodbye Galaxy!, Jill of the Jungle, Jazz Jackrabbit, Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Quake, F-117 Stealth Fighter, F-15 Strike Eagle II, Raptor: Call of the Shadows, and a few others I can't remember at the time. Most were only shareware versions, though the flight sims were certainly full copies. (Too bad that none of those childhood titles were classics like System Shock, anything Ultima or Wizardry, or the original DOS release of the greatest game ever. I had to play those long after their heyday...excepting those two old RPG series which I STILL haven't really played.) ...Did I go into too much detail?

I think it was 1982 when I was four when I first put my hands on the Atari 2600 jostick to play Pong (it was my father's). If that doesn't really count, it would be around the age of 8 or 9 when I really started my love affair with gaming. Yup, the NES, of course.

Just shy of three years old in 1981. My parents plopped me in front of Target Fun on the Atari 2600 to keep me occupied while they took care of my newborn sister. Who knew they were going to create a monster?

I have three very early yet distinct memories of when I was 2, one was coloring in a book, another one was when my dad died (I won't go into detail on that). The last one is of me playing starwars on the SNES, I actually knew what I was doing... yeah gaming since I was 2 (I'm 15 now)

I actually don't remember exactly how old I was when I first played a video game, I'd estimate about 3-5 years old, but I do remember we had an Atari (I think it was the 2600) and a NES when I was a kid.

Ah... like 5 I think. My friend had an NES in '86 I think and I got mine a few months later. So yea, I'm approaching 21 years of gaming now.

I was three and my dad (or mom) brought me an Atari 2600. I have no idea where they got it from, bought i have distinct memories playing Bug HUnt (with light gun of course) and a flight game that was Wayyyy to complicated for me. I also had a keyboard that plugged into the atari and you could type. Then when i was 5ish, my uncle comes into the house, and sets up a NES. Best day ever
