We always hear about complaints of COD rehashes. So I'm just wondering how many of them you actually bought? This can be seen as a measure of the core gamers (people on forums like Gamespot) who actually supported the annual installments persisting.

I'm limiting the games to PS3/360/Wii generation of CODs (also counts if you played it on PC during that generation).

Here is the list of CODs:

- COD 3

- COD 4: Modern Warfare

- COD: Modern Warfare 2

- COD: Modern Warfare 3

- COD: World at War

- COD: Black Ops

- COD: Black Ops 2

- COD: Ghosts

So there are 8 games, how many did you play?

I played 1, World at War on the Wii.

I would suggest Blops 2 as it features a ton of content and ways to play as well as the most replayable campaign in the series. The game is still extremely active as well. You will need time to adjust, unlock and tweak your loadout as well as understand the maps and best routes. You will learn soon enough though.

Soo basically...... Treyarch are the only ones that are actually trying to do something with this series?

I have always thought so.

Essentially, yes. They show alot of care with their zombie mode, thinking out intelligent plots to accompany each map.

Call of Duty 2 was on the 360 but it was in 2005 so idk if you want to count it as this past gen or not. But...

I got Call of Duty 2 not too long after launch for PC new. I got Call of Duty 4, World at War and Modern Warfare 2 new on 360. I bought Call of Duty 3 used, so idk if you want to call that supporting, the publisher nor developer saw any of my money on that one. I got it just because at the time it was the only mainline Call of Duty I hadn't played unless you want to count Big Red One and Finest Hour.

I haven't bought a Call of Duty game since Modern Warfare 2 and I'm glad. I borrowed Black Ops, Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 2 and I didn't really enjoy any of them very much. I'm not really that big on Call of Duty's style of multiplayer since 4, although I can appreciate it. Black Ops at least had an entertaining plot, but I can hardly remember what happened in Modern Warfare 3 and I lost my patience with Black Ops 2 about three missions in.

I don't care if people continue to support the series, if they enjoy then there's nothing wrong with that. But like a lot of people I kinda got tired of it.

I didn't buy any. I don't enjoy the FPS genre in general.

Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops. I tend to skip a few iterations of CoD for each generation.

I did however get Ghosts for current-gen (mainly cos there really isn't a lot of choice in what to buy at the moment).

None. Last CoD I bought was MW2, and even that I didn't play too much. Cod 4 was the last one in the series that I actually put some serious time into (mostly because my brother, who doesn't game at all really, was heavily into MP).

I technically bought Black Ops with a used Xbox 360 from a friend and finished the campaign.

About it.

I somehow ended up with a copy of Call of Duty 4.

The only one I bought was Modern Warfare 2.
