Hacker Jerks are Destroying GTA Online

They are firing explosives from their fingertips. They are shooting guns that cause any surface they hit to spew fire. They are Hacking the fighter Jets so they fire explosive bullets and rapid fire missles. They are also hacking Fort Zancudo so all fighter jets except the ones they are flying disappear. In short, they are making GTA Online a HELL.

I don't have to deal with that non sense. I've been playing the campaign.

That's pretty funny.

That goes for pretty much every single online multiplayer game ever.

Werd. Halo 2 was infamous for online cheaters.

Except for fighting games

Perhaps not hacking but there is something nefarious is going on at the other end.

I can happily say that I have not ever encountered anything like that with fighting games. I guess because the technicalities of their game mechanics are so precise that any cheating would be obvious to an experienced player.

This is why I don't play multiplayer.

what'd you expect from gta online, half the people who play this game are psychopaths, can't expect them to play nicely.

Well, what did you expect? playing with randoms has always been a pain when the games developers dont give a shit about "hackers"

Hopefully though that means Rockstar is busy with getting this out on pc and next-gen

@Jacanuk: I don't know what you're talking about- Rockstar routinely goes around shutting down cheats and hacks, as well as stripping cheaters and hackers of their properties, bank accounts and experience points.

Sadly happens in EVERY SINGLE MP GAME EVER. Best you could do is play with friends who don't use cheats.

Precisely why I don't play GTA. Or most games online for that matter.

But it's not as bad as other games imho.

Hackers are a bain in all online gaming. I'm not sure how the console servers are policed but when I play online shooters on PC, I generally find a server I like with good admins who are on reguarly, you soon get to know the regulars and cheating is kept to minimum.

Even if it wasn't for hackers, groups of high leveled a holes with better armor, vehicles and weapons go around teaming up against others, and if you vote to have some of them kicked they'll all gang up on you (like they do in the game) and kick you instead. Once I had some jerk with a sniper rifle constantly shooting me from god knows where. The result is, you have to be subservient to their practices if you want to play GTA online.

I found it boring with not enough ways to make solid money, and bugs galore, some of which made my system freeze up frequently. All things added up it led to a crappy experience.

Call of Duty: World of War is a good example of a game that is hacked up to the sh*t.

This thread reminded me that hackers still exist in online video games.
