Could have just said "lately." But, wanted to keep it current. For me, nothing comes to mind except for playing a bit of MK8 Deluxe online here and there.
I like playing GTAV in times like these the game kinda makes me feel like I'm a on a vacation with the beautiful beaches and scenery.
Not many in 2020 outside two mentioned in a previous thread about being unique. And that was very recent.
Earlier in the year up till spring was trying to appreciate openworld/ sandbox games, after many attempts just can't, for all the reasons I usually note and more.
Most I have tried are just awful, many fan favorites and one new one that dropped during lock-down. However already gone into detail for these, so won't leave a blog about it here. Not to state I dislike all openworld games, some have liked in the past, high in large however just think they're garbage.

Yeah, I'm not really into openworld stuff myself. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's just the lack of time I have for them or I'm just impatient when playing them.
I’ve been collecting OG Xbox titles for years (they’re incredibly cheap both online and off) and have amassed quite the collection. Over the past few months I’ve inserted almost everything and there’s been a plethora of good games to play. From exclusives to superior 3rd party titles - there’s plenty of gems. Too many to list.
Offworld Trading Company
Prison Architect
Stellaris
Not as many as usual, actually ,there's a lot of current and new games out.

Yeah, the original Xbox was definitely a favourite of mine from the games I did play. Glad you're enjoying it.

Well my thing all came from a late 2019 chat with someone on GFAQ. Mentioned I'm just too negative towards openworld games, and should give them a second chance extensively, to see why so many love them. Decided that he may be onto something, because do actively avoid them, so gave it my best try. And feel I've come out thinking even lower of it all.
Understand preference changes from person-to-person; yet I just do not like how many these games handle pacing, a.i. and level design.
They're designed in a very condescending way, expects the player to switch our brains off, accept any garbage, and think all one needs is immersion. Happy for those who like them, for me barely qualifies as a gaming experience.

With joy revisited The Witcher game, the very first one. It aged well, in my opinion. The nostalgia was real and I still enjoyed it as I did the first time I played it
Hunt: Showdown
Overwatch
Wind Waker HD
Ghost of a Tale
Nex Machina
Helldivers
Warhammer: Vermintide 2
Crawl
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Rocket League
Sekiro
DOOM 64
Snake Pass
Pinball FX3
Monster Hunter World
Slay The Spire
BlazeRush
Donkey Kong Country
Smash Bros. Ultimate
Some that come to mind.
I haven’t really been revisiting any game’s tbh. But I’ve been browsing for PC games that I’ve missed over the years.
Uplink
Mortal Kombat 4
Sin gold
Pegasus Prime
These are some of the games that I really like.
DOOM: Eternal
Wasn't that released during the pandemic? Not sure if that fits the message of the thread. From what I've read the pacing of gameplay is pretty insane though.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2
What is the word on Vermintide 2 from a long time player such as yourself? I'm not really a War Hammer fan however I do enjoy coop and all I know is it's a lot like Left 4 Dead, which was pretty fun in its own right.
Monster Hunter World
Alas, as is the way of all the recent MH games, cannot state I "revisited" if I never left
*Great list by the way.

Yeah, you're right. Removing it now. Pacing is pretty sweet indeed. Not a perfect DOOM game, but it's solid.

I'm not a Warhammer fan either. I mean, the setting is cool, but I barely know anything it. It's great fun. The melee combat is very satisfying, there's quite a few character builds to try out, many weapons with different attacks. If you liked L4D and got some friends to play with (for extra fun), I highly recommend it.

lol, true. I took a long pause, but recently revisited it a little bit. Been trying to get my friends to do the same so we can tackle some of the new shit. Like the one you slayed on your gif there.

Thanks man. :)
I think the only game I revisited so far this year was Jurassic World Evolution and Frostpunk. Other than that, everything I've played has been new. Persona 5 royal, last of us 2, ghost of tsushima, final fantasy 7 remake, and X-com Chimera squad have been in my rotation this year.
The original C&C and RA remasters were released a month ago or so so been playing that a fair bit. Also been playing Warhammer 40k Gladius since I hadn't had the chance to really try the T'au DLC. Alsoalso Sims 3 :P
