Games you hate that others praise

Are there any games that you have seen with good and positive reviews but don't seem to like it much or think whats all the fuss about?

Legend of Zelda OOT. I played it back in the day and it sucked, I played it recently and it still sucks. Its just crap.

Final Fantasy Fantasy VII. The lego graphics turned me away at the instant i saw it, and i`m not a crazy dude that only care for grapix.

I wanna start by saying that I won't respond to hate mail.

I think a plastic guitar with buttons instead of strings is a travesty.

I never liked Halo.

I loved WC3 and hated WoW

the entire legend of zelda series, ive played the games, and never managed to get into them, they may be good, I just didnt like them.

FF12, alot of people liked it, I was disappointed so much I traded it for £15.

Doom 3, its not that bad, I just didnt enjoy it halfas much as I enjoyed Doom 1 when I first played it back in 1994.

Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Stupid.

major suckage right here. revolutionary my rear. horrible controls, overrated graphics...

StarTropics. Not that it didn't have its moments (although very few), I just think most everything about it was lame.

beyond good and evil...bought it, played it and hated it.

eternal darkness...just not fun

halo...uhh it's just not close to metroid status.

PORTAL...what a horrible game...Nah, i'm just kidding:lol:

I just don't seem to get into the whole Grand Theft Auto thing. Sandbox gaming isn't it for me. It just tries to do too many things and nothing is realy deeply worked out. Fighting in GTA 4 is not deep enough in its combo's, moves, etc.,driving/racing is adequate but nothing spectacular, etc. etc. Secondly, the city might be a technical achievement, but I don't think it's realistic at all. I mean I live in a village of 24.000 inhabitants and there's more activity going on there at 11:00 o clock on a Monday morning, than there is in this New York rip off. Technical limitations or not, I doesn't convince me. O, and I don't feel the need to be a badass criminal. I just don't... Don't get me wrong, I see the work that has gone in it,but I just don't like it.

Final Fantasy VII
That game sucks!

I thought I was the only one who did not like Final Fantasy VII. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time too. Not bashing either game. Neither was my cup of tea though. The original Final Fantasy is still my favorite and I doubt they could make a Zelda game that would ever capture me the way A Link to the Past did.

Grand Theft - I just don't like games that glorify this kind of crude

Guitar Hero/Rock Band - i love video games, but those folks that can do it on hardest setting and thehardest song without missing a button... come on... there has got to be something better for you to do with your time.

95% of wii games... i feel so let down by the big N

Halo... never interested me in the least, but everyone with an XBox always wants to play, makes me sad :(

definetly Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, not only is it my least favorite Zelda game it is one of my least favorite games of all time, I have tried playing it over 10 times now and always get bored out of my mind after like 2 minutes.

Super Mario RPG. It's not as good as most people claim.

Legend of Dragoon, hands down. There are a lot of people who rant and rave about that game and to this day and I can't understand why. Horrible title.

FFVII ranks close though. Thought it was ok until I realized I was really only playing VI again only with a different cast, a less interesting villain, and a lame plot.

Assassins creed,Half-life series,Ghost Recon games.

Final Fantasy VIII. It was the only JRPG that I didn't bother to finish.

Also at the time it was released, Halo 2.

These two are the only games that come to mind.

I second Assasin's Creed; what a boring game.

Halo, for sure.

And Kirby's Adventure.

Shadow of the Colossus. I thought it was pretty boring.

You are the first person who said you didn't like the music of Halo. Huh. Sorry for double posting, but I also cannot stand the melodrama of JRPGs (That includes the FF series completely).

Halo 2 and 3 (the first one was the best), Final Fantasy (all 1000000 of them), almost every 'Zelda' game,

Since this is a topic I brutal honesty it seems; I won't say I hate these games, but I definitely didn't fall in love with them:

• Assassin's Creed- Got dull after the kills and roof jumping died down
• Metal Gear Solid- I know if I dedicated enough time I could grow to love them; butI never liked stealth gameplay.
• Super Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess. Both bore the heck out of me. Though I did beat Galaxy

Why you didn't enjoyed Wii Sports? Well, everyone has his/her own tastes.

CRYSIS,it just plain bad on every level except graphics

tomb raider again boring,bland and crummy

FF crystal chronicles for GC,boring and repetitive after a few hours

Splinter cell 1 just plain rubbish though i liked the 3rd game

Project snowblind lame spinoff to deus ex that had all references removed at the last min in development

Commandos enjoy the genre,dont enjoy the series

Deus ex 2 a insult to everything deus ex

First person shooters. Goldeneye was the only oneI could tolerate.

hate is a pretty strong word, i would say i didn't care for these games since they just weren't my taste in games, but that in no way makes them bad games.

Halo series- alright games but they never change and when a game is advertised and hyped to the point where its at 711 that's where i draw the line.

Donkey Kong 64 - a number of games did what this game did, but they did it first and they did it better.

Killer Instinct - just a mediocre fighting game that had bad characters and a lot of combos.

Every EA sports game - these come out annually with barely any changes yet they sell more than almost every other game.

Crysis - Very pretty but not much other than horsepower as far as gameplay goes.
