The music in Moto Rush GT just doesn't jive with me. Sounds generic. Do you do the same in some video games?

Don’t think I ever have to be honest. Might have turned it down occasionally though. :)

Always. It’s the first thing I do in the options screen when I start a new game.

Turn down tracks most of the time but never atmospheric music.

No, I always keep the in game music on. I generally enjoy most all of the music in the games that I play plus it would just feel like I was missing something if I were to turn it off.

@kadin_kai: ‘ I hated the Far Cry 5 music. ‘

Really?

And who could forget Disco Inferno?

I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. They really put effort into the soundtrack - I thought. It perfectly fit the tone of the game.

In most games I tend to dial that down, yes.

Especially multiplayer focused games that I will sink in for many hours. I turn off the in-game music and play my custom playlist in the background. Just to prevent monotony. Love music but not many games have a good enough tracklist to keep me engaged for very long.

Would that not go in line with the game? I always assumed Far Cry was over fatigued at this point. What being an overly cinematic/ sandbox casual experience.

Isn't that why Ubisoft is changing development focus because they're well aware they've become a bit too generic and designed on over-simplicity.

Depends on the kind of game. Racing-type games like Burnout I tend to replace the soundtrack with my own. I also like to multitask some game types by watching TV at the same time. Sometimes I'll turn off the game music in that scenario. Most of the time I leave it, though.

None to whats-so-ever and I just listen to the same music over and over again without thinking about turning it off, much less dialing it down.

Always turn it off unless it's actually good music; then I'd keep it low so I can hear it without it drowning out the rest of the game.

No. Just in some rare cases where I get very annoyed by the music. I think Burnout Paradise was the last game that annoyed me with its music. When you hear the song Paradise City at least 10 times every gaming session, you tend to get really fucking tired of Paradise City.

Sometimes in RTS games. I remember Age of Empires III having a really repetitive soundtrack and I played that game for long sessions so it became annoying pretty quickly.

GREAT TOPIC/QUESTION.

When i was playing Middle-Earth SHadowAtWar i turned the music off and listened to USB butterstick music on

Xbox1( i think).. I had old school early 90's west coast IceCube & West Side Connection on.Cube is funny !

**When i learned you could listen & toggle the sound between game & music at same time i was blown away and called my brother & old school homies in South Fl to Flex & they all laughed saying OG Xbox did this even better in sports games as it played in the actual menus.. whatevs!!!

Yeah unless it's a game with awesome music like GTA or older hockey/Madden then im using the thumbstick.
