Chess, much like Go and Shōgi are best played with a board rather than a digital version.

More of a Go player myself if I had to pick one of the three. And even have a board of Go set up in my living room. I tend to use it when deep in thought; however I do not play it serious, just with a few friends for laughs or against myself.

I'm a fan of Chess, I'm not the best player, but I do enjoy the benefits from being a consistent player.

I remember the era when chess computer games were famous. Back in those days, electronic chess boards were also popular.

In those days, pretty much every gamer had chess game on their IBM PC or C64/Amiga...

I played chess for 10 years. I played around 4000 games and got bored of it.

I'm a competitive player, tournament club play and on chess.com and Lichess.org, I've got a chess rating over 2100 and I have well over 50,000 games under my belt over the years and I still play and direct chess tournaments regularly.
