say what you want, but no next-gen handheld will ever be as small as the gameboy micro. the only thing that beats the micro in terms of size are cell phones and bits of string that are left in your pocket.

Reall i'm lazy anyway i have the whole line of Game Boy systems that came out in the U.S so really i want to continue this legacy until i really feel that i can move on to something else.
I just bought my DS Lite last night. One thing though. It can't play original GameBoy games. I'm a Pokemon freak. G/S were on the GBC, and were the best. So I still have both :D
Can't afford one yet, plain and simple. There's still so many GBA, GCN and PC games I'm interested in, plus with the upcoming release of the Wii, its almost too much for this starving college student to handle. But I will own a DS Lite one day, and you'll know it when u notice some mysterious person is able to defeat anyone he challenges in Mario Kart DS.
I've had a DS for almost a year, it's just I prefer the GBA's larger library, at least until the DS catches up anyway. Besides, I prefer the GBA boards, it's quiet here...

well, it's not like any pictures of the DS that I've seen online or in media even show a GBA slot. And in my case, I couldn't even afford a used standard one... and just from seeing the store-display DS's there have been, people really abuse them poorly. :(
I sold my gba and gba sp and i have a DS lite which is a lot better than DS. DS is so big and bulky. Its so ugly. If they didn't make DS lite i probably wouldn't have bought a DS.
Hey now, I have both the GBA and the DS. (the brick version)
I love them both equally. With my GBA, I'll always have awesome 2D gaming at my finger tips and a ton of RPG's like Golden Sun. But the DS has many great games as well. I really see no reason why you can't love em' both.
The Ds is way ugly and too big to fit in to a pocket. But the Ds Lite does look kinda nice and almost fits in to a pocket. What im saying is that why I have a Micro instead a Ds is because the Micro is portable and the Ds isn't

Fixed. ;) I sold my PSP when the DS Lite came out because there just weren't any games on the PSP that were interesting me. The most fun I had on my PSP was Mega Man: Powered Up, but it wasn't enough fun for me to keep the system.
dude, i would sooooooooooo buy one if some one would help with the money, it would take me years on my allowance! but i want to play the new games for DS, but mainly because i think it sucks that you cant play dimond and pearl on the SP!!!!!!!!!
My gba sp was stolen/lost sometime ago (along with my precious harvest moon game) when I was on vacation and I felt I needed to replace it. I couldn't decide whether to rebuy an sp or go for a next gen handheld DS or PSP. I ruled out the PSP because it was a bit too pricey and I couldn't play any of the gba games that I already owned. the obvious choice was to go for a DS lite but I held back. The system just doesn't much appeal to me with its dual screen/touch screen stuff nor is there any game for it that really captures my interest. Not to offend or anything but it seems a bit too kiddyish as well.
So anyway, I ended up getting a Micro and I'm glad I did. Great portability and even though there is practically nothing new coming out for gba, there are plenty enough games out already for me to hunt down and play. Especially since I really enjoy turn-based rpgs as well as nostalgic games such as the Mario and Final Fantasy games (I still can't believe FF VI is now portable!!).
Right now im making my way through Tactics Ogre which I bought used for a very decent price. Great game!
I dont have a DS becau I dont want one! My Micro plays all the gamesI like and is super portable and good looking. The DS is ugly and looks like a womansmake-up case, and the few 3D games Ive seen on it look and play horrible. I whip out my PSP when its time to play awesome 3D games. The DS just falls in some stagnant middle ground and has no real place in the handheld market. Hey, its just my opinion, but Im just saying I will never buy one.
