Well, for me mini-games in the any game are very important. Lets say if you're bored of lvluping chars, that's the funnest thing to do at that time.
Or what do you think?
Which mini-game do you think was best?

For me Bliztball rocks @ss!!!:)

You should qualify it 'coz I cannot see how the Blitzball in FFX-2 could rock. I do not know if I missed something, but I did not see an option allowing me to manually control the players in X-2 blitzball.

Well, you can actually see the players play by zooming in. :P
I enjoy mini-games a lot, as long as they serve a purpose. For example, I hated the card game Tetra Master in FFIX because it really didn't do anything. For being such a realized feature of the game, it wasn't even an asset. Triple Triad in FFVIII was fun and rewarding to play because you could convert cards into one-of-a-kind items. Blitzball in FFX was fun because you had to play it to progress the storyline and it gave you one-of-a-kind items. Tetra Master really didn't; the only thing you could get was that Hunter Rank S key item that had no canonical function.
So yes, I'm all for mini-games, if they reward you with something worth getting.
(No, you don't get anything special for scoring over 7000 in FFVII's Speed Square. I've tried!)
Mini games suck so nofs_metal
Why don't you like mini-games? Don't you like to do some other stuff than just progress the story?

I never played a mini-game for the prize, for me it was like resting, having fun or something.

same, when i have just killed earth eater 50 times to get foruten spheres (i have killed him probably 500 times) i then play blitzball as something fun to do. its great. My fave one in VII was the motorbiking that was really fun[QUOTE="nackopacko"][QUOTE="fs_metal"]Mini games suck so nofs_metal

They are always boringI dont know what to say... there is no way in helping you:P
mini-games are a nice addition, but if there are none, it won't bother me at all.
I really liked that submarine game at the gold saucer in VII, but my favorite is the snowboarding game!
Anyone who liked the fishing game in FFXII? :PFantasy_Gamer
I never even played it...never had a reason to...:?
[QUOTE="nackopacko"][QUOTE="fs_metal"]I was refering to blitzball in FFXfs_metal
Youre my man ;)
I takle it you don't like BlitzballDid I say that, then I take it back, but I think I didnt say I dont like blitzball. I think the blitzball was the best minigame ever made.
it sucks the ballsfs_metal
Well I really didn't want to know thatyour balls suck, but I heard that chamomile tea helps:P.
I like the majority of the minigames in the FF games. I remember the first time I played blitzball I hated it because I thought it was confusing and I didn't really know what I was doing, so I ignored it for the entire game. Then once I got the airship I decided to try it again because I found out it was the only way to get Wakka's other overdrives. Eventually once I started learning how to play and getting better characters for my team I started to like it and I eventually got obsessed with it lol.
I have to admit I didn't really pay much attention to the card game in FFVIII, and when I replay that I'm going to try and master it because I barely played it at all. Also when I play FFIX I'm going to play the card game during the adventure instead of ignoring it like I did with FFVIII.
Overally I like the minigames because they give you something to do other than the main game, and imo they are part of what makes the FF series so special.
Oh, and what you guys are talking about now... I thought they ruined Blitzball in FFX-2, I was incredibly mad when I found out that they changed it. Overall I think FFX-2 is a pretty big failure as a FF game.
I played agbout 16 oir so hours of that game and the story went absolutely nowhere. I then said eff thisfs_metalit took until chapter 3/4 for the story to start unveiling

I am actually in agreement here. I thought it was incredibly ridiculous that Square tried to pull us into the story by showing some movie hinting at Tidus possibly still being alive, and then they don't really focus on Tidus at ALL for the rest of the game until the VERY end, and that is only if you do a bunch of random boring crap to get one of the better endings.
