Interesting story? coming up with an organization that should never have existed, coming up with some retarded and lame SOLDIER's who clearly dont fit the FFVII original world and also coming up with that Omega crap? recicling scenes from FFVII, like for example, when the player gets to know Omega's role in the planet and they show that universe planification which is a total ripp-off of the Cosmo Canyon scene?

I will have to respectfully disagree. At least Dirge had a couple of those hopeful "Okay, this game might not be that bad after all" Moments for me, which is more than I can say for X-2.

If you went for 100% completion in FFX-2, it took almost 20 hours for the story to actually go anywhere. At all. I got so sick of sitting around and waiting for something to happen...

I'm sure you guys have the greatest of opinions about DoC, but lets deal with the facts...

please, you miss-interpreted the expression, the opinions are only great when compared with each other, ence the X-2 to DoC relation we created here. cuting your hand is better than cuting your head, does that make cuting your hand good? no.

further more, that was exactly my point.

its all a matter of opinion, regardless of the review value games recieve it all gets down to personal opinion

but if so, whats your point on saying DoC is better anyway...? I would take my chances by saying you hate X-2, ence this, you'll prefer any game over it, therefore any opinion you give on X-2 to other game comparison is nothing short of invalid.

Let's get one thing clear first. I never said that DoC was good, only that I liked it better than X-2. Which really isn't saying much. :P

As for my reasons, I think I made it clear enough... it had a decent story. I didn't care about Genesis, Deepground or the Tsviets, but it was still interesting to learn more about the events after FFVII and Vincent's past and Lucrecia. That's already much better than X-2, which took everything you loved about FFX and flushed it down the toilet.

You think I just call X-2 bad because I hate it. I would argue that it's other way around. I only started hating it when I realized how bad it was. I honestly believe it is the worst game in the series that I have played. Believe or not, I actually tried to love it and was genuinely excited for that game when it came out. I even played and finished it a second time, thinking I would like it better.:?

No, but if you're going to make a FF shooter, it has to be pretty darn good. DoC just had a lot of technical errors and repetitive enemies. I mean, they could have done a MUCH better job gameplay wise. They're Square for crying out loud!

Well, your reasons are valid after all, since X-2 was really a letdown for you, for me too, but not nearly has much has it was for you. But, you still have to admit that every time someone says "wow, this game sucks!" you come into the thread and post a X-2 pic and say "this one sucks even more!" and man, its geting anoying... that was my original point.
