Cloud vs. Link: Who's the better hero?

Well, in the past, Cloud always wins the greatest game character ever polls around the net, but the past few years, there has been a growing anti-Cloud (or FFVII for that matter) crowd... In the end, it is usually Link who emerges victorious. (I can't even beleive Cloud was easily ejected in Gamespot's recent poll).

Anyway, let's try to test the sentiment of FFE members.

I'll start...

"OFF COURSE" it is Cloud for me! :P 

While I'm by no means a huge fan of Cloud, he at least has a personality, talks, and goes through character development.

Also, Link has been winning character battles before this opposition to FFVII started. He won GameFaqs' first character battle in 2002(and 4 since then, which is stupid :roll: ).

Im not a fan of both so i vote they are both trash =)

Well we all know Link has been in countless games, and maybe SE HATES Link! If you're asking why, try playing FF1 (gba or psp version) and look at the graveyard in one town there (forgot the name) and you will see "Here lies Link". I laughed 1 minute straight after seeing that :lol:.

Ok... my opinion is that Cloud's better, Cloud has been in a uber-cool movie (FF7 AC) and has a very bad-ass antagonist (Seph) which can pwn link xD. Sorry nintendo fans but I just think Cloud's better :).

I have to say...Cloud.Link saved the world alot of times but...Cloud's the man :D

hehe sorry man but its just me. I was never a fan of those two (well i'll give Cloud a little credit due to how popular FFVII is but im no fan of him). Im still a hardcore Squalite =)

I prefer Link to Cloud.  But I voted for Master Chief.

Link, Zelda is my favorite video series of all time. Cloud is also cool, though.

Yes size definately doesn't matter in video games, if it did, Cloud wouldn't be able to lift the Buster Sword, much less use it in battle, due to the size of his muscles.
