Clean up your news feed, separate games and entertainment content

I come here to read about video games. Video game reviews, video game news. I do not come here to read about Game of Thrones, or reviews of Aladdin.

You used to keep the entertainment articles under the entertainment tab, but now you have simply given up segregating the two. Under the "News" header there are now more entertainment articles than video games. Maybe this was a conscious (and bad) decision, but ok. Fine. I'll go to the "Games" tab specifically.

Nope. Entertainment news stories are there too, and in just as high a volume as everywhere else.

Fix your news streams, Gamespot. You seriously need to compartmentalize your content, and it is only getting worse.

Yeah it's getting worse. Maybe it's just teething issues with the new design, I hope they sort it out but I wouldn't hold my breath. I mostly go to N4G for my gaming fix.

Thanks for your feedback on the balance of games and entertainment content. I'm happy to let you know we launched a new part of the site this week that only contains game content. So if you don't want to see TV or Movie content you can just go to http://www.gamespot.com/games

Gamespot, please fix this! VERY FRUSTRATING for those of us who come to GAMEspot for GAMING content and have to put up with this.

I assume they're still working on a fix.....thanks at least for acknowledging the problem and hopefully they can get it sorted.

Are they going to fix this, or just whatever. You better change the site name.

Gamespot is too busy preparing for E3 2019 and the fact they're not gonna bother fixing anything, you won't see any changes until after E3.

Sigh. I bet they have a moratorium in place on releases during E3. At least the game stories are mostly drowning out the garbage for now.

That be it and from what I can tell you now at the time of this reply, it's fix and all I see is gaming news. Looks good to me.

The thing that really gets on my wick, there are some really great games releasing such as Gato Roboto that are A) Not being covered or B) Burred under a mountain of "hey guys pop culture, REALLY COOL!"

Why isn't there just a filter on the main page where you can select which content you want to see?

The dedicated games page is a poor substitute for the main page. It lacks the reviews section, top upcoming games, etc..

It is kinda sad when you have to go to a seperate section of a games website to see about games.
