Great presentation but becomes repetitive

Folklore is an action adventure mystery featuring amazing visuals and immersive music. The plot focuses about unraveling a murder mystery and exploring the mystical aspects of afterlife, so it's really good and exciting, but combat can become tiring after a few hours of playing, even though its excellent when you first pick it up. Motion controls are brilliantly incorporated into combat and are fun to do and see. The environments you will come across are beautiful but relatively linear with predetermined paths that you can take. You will be playing with both characters each at a time, but they will both explore the same areas so the second character you play will be a bit boring to play, but the story will make up for that.

There are some side quests to undertake but they don't add anything to the story and only force you to replay levels again for some items you can use to upgrade your moves. The worst thing about Folklore is the voice acting, its simply terrible, but thankfully there isn't much of it. Most dialogues are presented in a comic style without any voices. Loading times can also become annoying later on, but its a pretty good game overall. There are no bugs or cheap deaths, so it's either a "like it" or "hate it" game.
