6 hours of progress lost due to Windows Live DRM.

I have never had a good experience with Windows Live Gaming. It is a cancer to the gaming industry. It never wasn't redundant in the pursuit of anti-piracy solutions and serves only to harm the consumer.

I have played games with GFWL without having to sign in before and my progress still being saved locally (albeit facing numerous other hassles related to GFWL) and assumed this was the case with Flatout Ultimate Carnage. 6 hours of play shared between my brother and I proved it was quite an enjoyable game. I completed approximately 1/3 of the main campaign style gameplay before I turned it off. The next day when I opened it up again it prompted me to buy my first car.

There was no warning that my progress wouldn't save. The GFWL overlay does not give any indication that the game's save data is integrated with GFWL or vice versa. I do not have time to play 6 hours of what I have just played so I am forced to delete it.
