SE completely missed the point in every way. They did not learn from their mistakes. This is a disaster.

A complete and utter disaster. I cannot believe such a big gaming company could be so out of touch with reality. There is nothing good about this game except the graphics, and even those are recycled and basic when you get past the glitter.

The gameplay is horrific and completely counter-player friendly.

There is very little to do. I cannot believe a game actively tries to prevent a player from playing it.

The substance of the classes is barebones.

The tradeskill classes are both boring and badly designed/explained.

The world is.. well, it feels like i'm playing in a MUD world in the 1990's.

The world setting is.. quite frankly, terrible. Its even worse than FF11's. They have some excellent world settings with great racial selection under their belt. They have Ivalice from FFTA, they have the worlds of FF7, 8, 9. etc. All are great player-drawing settings. Instead.. well, far from being disappointed, the world setting puts me off.

The racial selection is poor and ultimately disturbing again. We have the Japanese fetish catgirls (cannot be male since no fetish is present for those by the designers) and... children. I am deeply disturbed.

The combat is poor, slow and does not feel dramatic. I cannot believe you are fighting bugs and small wildlife, again.. did not learn a thing from the previous game.

Ultimately, SE has not learned a single thing. In fact they have taken several steps back.

This may just be the failure they needed to finally learn a lesson and learn what their player-base expects in a game. The playerbase expects many things.. working controls, playable gameplay, world depth and plot, fluid graphics, but they missed the biggest one.

Fun.
