The game that play by itself.
Gameplay :
Very dull. I understand the great idea behin the "gambit" system but this is very dull to play. well you don,t play at all. All you have to do is set the right gambit and then let the game do all the job. The gameplay suffer of the system in FFXI and all MMORPG in general and this is exacly why this isn't enjoyable. Multiplayer game in a sigle player game just don't belong together.
The caracters in the game are all blame. We do not know nothing about each caracters, no emotion , no reaction. They look like if they aren't involve in the situation and it feels like the situation isn't gettin' bigger like in other final fantasy game. It is just not feel like a final fantasy game. The game is so hard that you can't afford any weapon to progress in the horde of difficult enemies. It is difficult to make some money or just survive the standart battle.
Graphics :
One of the best graphic seen on Playstation2. Beautiful animation , great visual , everything you'd expect visualy from FF games.
Sound:
Very relalistic and well performed. But when you pass too close of NPC that can talk , they make some noise and after some times it gets anoying. Voice plays is perfect and match the lips perfecly. This is one of the thing about this game.
Story:
Where is the quality of the story ? In FF story start small and gettin' bigger with more and more problem , new enemies who aren't here in the start. In FFXII there is a complicated relation between political caracters but at the start we know who is the bad guy that we have to kill to save the world ... not what I call a great story. Well in conclusion , this game is for people who love MMORPG. For people who think they will play something like in the old FF. I'll got buy somthing else.
