A great sequel to a great game.

This is my first review EVER! YAY!!!

This is a very good sequel with a very good storyline. Any fan of FF7 will love this as well. People who haven’t played FF7 though will probably end up finding this movie confusing the whole time.

Storyline: Three Sephiroth clones have come to Midgar and are looking for Jenova. Cloud must come out of retirement and stop them. This seems like a very basic storyline, but the storyline is so well done that it ends up not being so basic after all, as it has many twists and lots of adventure.

Graphics: The graphics are amazing. They are some of the best graphics I have ever seen anywhere. The characters look great. Square-Enix did a good job showing what all the FF7 characters look like with better graphics. All the fight scenes are well done as well in the movie.

Sound: This is where the movie lost most of its points. The characters can be very hard to hear at times during the movie. Sometimes I’d have to make sure there was no noise at all in my room so that I could hear a conversation. There was no problem with the voice actors themselves, they just should have spoken up more. The dubbing is well done, I barely noticed it was dubbed at all. The battle sounds and sounds effects are perfect though.

Overall: If you are a FF7 fan or have played FF7, you will appreciate this movie and its great storyline, even if the movie is kind of short. If you haven’t played the game or didn’t like the FF7, you’ll probably think of it as a mediocre movie at best. There are quite a few funny scenes and a lot of action scenes, but it still holds up a great storyline. The volume of the voices is the only problem.
