I say if you like stratagy/ turn-based games give this one a shot. It is pretty darn good.

I will say I haven't played the PS1 version of the game.

I like the game. It does have some flaws here and there.

The Good: Jobs, Abilities, Equipment, and so much more. You always start with a Squire and you can change what they do from there, example Squire into a Chemist or a Knight. Then once you change there Job you change your abilities and Equipment. There is SO much to build upon. It's fun and neat.
I also enjoy the videos which I know were not on the first version. They are sketchy and make the game have character.

The Bad: The one thing I can't stand most in this game is when you go to cast magic. Some Stratagy/Turn Based games allow you to change how the direction of the magic strikes (make sense?). Another thing that is lame is the dialogue. It is cheesy. Sometimes makes me feel like I'm reading Romeo and Juliet or some Shakesperian play. It gets annoying. Another thing I am not fond with is the fact that when a character dies, there gone for good. No more getting them back. However I do appreciate that fact at the same time, seems more realalistic to me.

Overall I am enjoying the game. Tricky but fun. I also thing the storyline setup is very neat. I suggest this game to any Turn-based fans.
