Just try to put it down

A must-own for fans of turn-based strategy games. The best in the genre... even for those of us who think chocobo's are a little silly.

My only complaint - and I should qualify this by saying that I've never been a big cut-scene fan... just let me fight and upgrade and fight again, please - is that the in-game graphic cut-scenes are annoying. I find myself clicking through them to get to the next fight. I do, however, realize that the FF franchise is driven by the story telling, so I do get it... this is my 3rd FFT game (PS, GBA, PSP), so if it bothered me that much, I guess I wouldn't keep going back for more. Having said that, the sketch-style anime cinematic cut-scenes are beautiful and a credit to the artists at Square-Enix and the PSP hardware.

This game is highly addictive and fun... On more than one occasion, I found myself yelling "GET SOME!!" as my black/white mage zapped 3 formidable baddies in one shot with a dazzling "Thundaja" spell... Good times.
