The sequel to one of the best shooters on xbox or any console for that matter!
Although the game play mechanics hardly changed at all(which is a good thing), the AI intelligence should of. I often found myself continually shooting at enemies as they stood in awe or looked around to see what direction it was coming from. It makes for an easy kill yes but hardly presents a challenge. I would say though there is a incredible thrill hunting them down like wild pigs using all of Jack Carver's highly evolved predator like senses, skills, speed, and ridiculous strength. The game alone is almost worth buying just for that fact!
Multiplayer is always a blast! Assuming u have some friends that can play with u offline or online will make it even better! (I still have a gripe about not having any AI bots offline for multiplayer) With the return of the robust Map editor. Making a map is a snap! Of course for the hardcore fps gamers out there, you'll probably spend hours upon hours editing, tweaking, rotating, and filling ur map with just all kinds of structures and items. Zip lines have finally been added as special items along with machine gun/mortar turrets. They've also added 3 new vehicle types ranging from a pickup truck with a mounted machine gun, a transport truck for many ppl, and a small pirate boat normally used for fishing but of course is equipped with a mounted machine gun for all ur sick n twisted thoughts! Not to mention a new brush set called: Refinery.
A new and welcome addition to the few modes of Far Cry would be the Seek and Secure mode. This mode on multiplayer requires players to locate the active station and hold it for your team. The station must be successfully defended for a duration of the countdown in order to be "secured." The opposing team fights to seize control of the station from the defenders. Sound exciting? Well it is when properly played out.
Online is the same as the first giving u all the same modes, map swapping, and leaderboards. All n all this is the best value for a new shooter on the console at only $29.99. Its a steal considering with the robust map editor which will give it so much replay value you'll keep gunning for more!
