The most interesting part of this game is its tie-in with Fable 2 and the promise that you will be able to take your hard earned winnings with you as you start the adventure there. Frankly, I am sure most people who played this were doing so in order to take advantage of a much publicized exploit. The exploit has since been patched and so we have to now look at Pub Games on its own merits.
There is a mix of somewhat strategic casino style games and games of pure chance. Because of this, you may find yourself favoring a particular type of game. Unfortunately, this also means that you will be limited in the number of in-game items you can unlock. In order to unlock all the possible in-game items (which is the main reason why a person would play this) you are forced to play games you might not actually enjoy.
Unless you purchased Fable 2 and received Pub Games as a freebie, I can't recommend purchasing it. But I do have to hand it to Lionhead for releasing an XBL Arcade game with cross-game interaction. I hope we see more of this from other publishers.
