Excellent gameplay and physics, great depth of simulation, 1 massive let down graphically.

User Rating: 8.5 | F1 2010 PC
This F1 was the one worth the wait, the long 8 year wait for pc owners.
If you are a veteran f1 driver gamer, then 99 % of the game is spot on, you will be using a decent force feed back steering wheel, turning off all the aids, and quickly diving into the car set up options.
Personally I am very glad that the set up options although plenty for the novice are quite limited to what we are used to from ea and rfactor engines.
The hrs just spent fiddling with settings was exhausting, but this game is great as more focus is placed on racing rather than hotlapping time and time again.
The only problem I have found so far whilst racing the ai, is the times of race pace set on a full tank of fuel, compared to the qualifying pace. There is about 1-2 seconds difference and that doesnt add up as I cant drive 2 seconds off my qualifying pace with full tank, im sure this will get sorted hopefully with a patch as the real difference should be about 5 seconds or so.
Apart from the 1 flaw I have noticed I would give the game 10 out of 10, that is if it was keeping the graphic technology codemasters have been working with for years now.
This is were I am absolutely baffled!
Grid dx 10 excellent grapchics a few years ago,
Dirt 2 dx 11 jaw dropping graphics and speed
F1 2010 dx 9 ??????????? oh please why dx 9??????
There are flickering lines where the outline of the track is, this is very very dissapointing.
Why have codemasters gone back in time?
My only guess is that it is not a pc version just a copy from xbox.
I am running graphics in 1900 by 1200 resolution and it looks horrible.
This is why my score is not 10 out of 10.
