EXCITEBIKE - - - Classic, classic NES game! Simple controls and gameplay plus innovative player options equal triumph!!!
The fact that when I was four or five that I could make and race my own tracks on my NES is an astounding & evolutionary moment in time for me in gaming. Since this game I've forever had a warm, fuzzy feeling in my heart for player oriented releases that integrate creative aspects.
It shows, to me, that the developers hold trust in their audience. That they believe in their consumers imagination as much as their own in order to engage in innovative gameplay.
Excitebike had/has this. It is timeless for it's genius, for it's fun, and for it's accessability.
Excitebike was/is leaps and bounds ahead of it's time.
If I could I'd play Excitebike right at this moment.
