Highly over-rated

Graphics are o.k., but not much better than ESPN National Hockey Night. Some of the skaters look more like they're trying to scoot around on roller rather than ice skates. As opposed to the simplistic but clunky control system of National Hockey night NHL 2K5 gives you a complicated but clunky control system. Even worse is the fighting element. The fights are too fake and ridiculous for comment. If you're not going to do it right don't do it at all. Too bad they didn't spend more time developing this game. Unlike the football games where developers love the game they should have turned this over to someone who cared about the sport instead of just getting any old thing ready in time to put on the shelf.
