Awesome game for ex-tabletop gamers, turn based gaming with a hotseat multiplayer mode. Good campaign with voice acting and pretty damn difficult requiring you to really think about tackling each turn. Your units level up and gain experience throughout the campaign so ensuring they don't die and leveling them up with the right skills and abilities is extremely important. This also adds an RPG element - you can even rename your non-hero units to easily keep track of them on the battlefield and help you remember the upgrades you have given them.
Great game and probably underrated by most in my opinion. I don't think the mainstream will enjoy it because of the pace, graphics and unconventional game play but some will find this game highly addictive and fresh.
If you are not sure about it I say its certainly worth a try and its easy to get as it is available on steam.
