Probably one of the best tower defense style games around at the moment. Amazing co-op with friends or strangers.

This is one of the newer style of tower defense games where you fight along side your buildings in order to hold off hordes of enemies. It presents you with a cartoony looking world which is simply amazingly put together. Of all of the levels I have played, they have nearly all been designed perfectly. The people at Trendy Entertainment are truly dedicated to this game and continue to patch it to this day, which is sadly very rare in the PC market these days.

Initially there were 4 classes to play, although DLC has released many more recently, but I have not used them yet so I cannot comment on them. The apprentice; a wizardly character who builds towers adept at dealing magical damage and can use his abilities to repair and upgrade incredibly fast or just simply blow up everything in sight when things get hectic. Next there was the squire. This little guy specialises in bulky towers which deal large amounts of physical damage or if he wants, he can run around and beat everything to death while wearing no pants. Monks are the supportive class of the game. They can provide your team with auras to heal, slow enemies, reduce their damage or even convert them to your team. If that's not enough, they can significantly increase the damage your team does or repair multiple towers at once. Lastly, there is the huntress. She deals in traps and shooting people and boy is she good at it. Her abilities allow her to do this safely by going invisible and quickly by firing a giant purple bird out of her weapon that goes through everything in its way.

There is a sort of RPG element within the game in that you level up and collect gear to make your character more powerful. In order to get better gear, you must first level up and eventually you will tackle harder difficulties and different challenge levels.

This game is definitely worth the price tag of only $15. The amount of content within the game is mind boggling and then there's the fact you can bring 3 of your friends along. If there is a sale of this game and you don't buy it, you're doing yourself a disservice.
