Wow, what a dismal score this game got on gamespot. I wonder if it was even played for more than ten minutes before scoring it. It's too bad that this game was overlooked and written off by so many people. I just finished it and I have to say it's definitely an underrated game. The developers did an outstanding job of actually taking the original "game" (i.e. interactive movie) and making it into a true 3d platformer. The developers deserve credit for capturing the essence of the original. I thought the gameplay was actually quite good. Combat is not overly complicated and a lock on feature is of great help. The puzzles have a "just right" difficulty. There are plenty of memorable boss fights as well. The camera can be manipulated manually and of course lock on mode will force the camera into a fixed over the shoulder view. I had no real issues with the camera. Certainly none that broke the gameplay experience. The game's fairly difficult which might put some people off. But it's never so hard that you'll want to quit. I found it kind of addictive because I just knew I could get through a tough spot or a boss fight if I tried "just one more time". And of course beating the game gives you a true feeling of accomplishment not unlike the feeling I got when I beat the original. Definitely some bragging rights! The graphics are outstanding especially (as the other reviewer stated) if your HDTV is capable of 1080i. I don't know of any other original xbox games that even do 1080i. The in game 5.1 dolby digital sound is great as well. So you're in for a real treat with the right setup.

Even if you're not old enough to remember the original game on which it is based, I would still recommend that you check this game out.
