though the story is short the amount of characters in the game will make you happy.

Another Year another Dragonball Z game and this year its Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3. For those of you new to the series, this isnt your conventional fighting game, its basiclly a 2 button fighter game with a few combos in between. This game though, is more of a fan service then a fighter game. This game is every Dragonball Z fans wet dream but outside of this its nothing special.

Probably the only disappointing part of the game is the main story. Unlike its unlike last years Budokai Tenkaichi 2, there is less fighting and more cut scenes which I find a little disappointing, because in 2 you basically played every fight. This wouldn't be so bad(seeing as how we've played the same story 6 times now) if it wasn't for the fact that we've had 150+ characters which means huge potential in terms of story recreation.

Outside story mode, this game can keep you entertained for hours on end, 5 different tournaments(each with different goals and features i.e. Survival and there is even a tournament where they pick the character for you), vs mode where you can fight a friend(sadly no online for PS2) and it just keeps going from their.

The biggest thing about this game(as is with the game before it) is the amount of fan service the game offers. This game managed to top the last by offering a whopping 150+(yes 150) thats Goku(5 in fact), Shenron and everyone in between. While there is some repetition in the move list Atari did a good job keeping the more "important" characters unique, now when I say important I mean there are characters in there that really don't NEED to be there(Im looking at you generic Freeza Minion).

All in all the game is fairly decent and will please your Dragonball Z needs but if your not a fan of the franchise and are just looking for a fighter to pick up this inst for you.
