More of the same. Is that a good or bad thing?

Donkey Kong Country 1 took the world by storm. It sold over 8 million copies. The sequel expanded on that, just making the formula even better. Now that we have Donkey Kong Country 3, the series is really starting to show its age. I spend hours on the phone and on ebay before I found a copy, and after finallt finding it, It was fairly disapointed. The begining is quite different from the previous 2 games. You start in the water and you can acctually move any where you want, but there is some where you have to go. You need to go to Funky's rentals to get Kiddy Kong, the new character, and a boat. You use that boat to go to the first level. Now you can truly start the game. Once you enter the first level, you should find yourself in familiar territory. You need to get from one side of the level to the other. If you've ever played another DKC, you should know what you're doing. There a couple of new additions that add variety to the game, but nothing is perticularly interesting. You have to collect banana birds for Wrinkly Kong, and can play some games at Swanky's side show. Even with these additions, the games fells old pretty fast. Graphically, the game isn't much of an improvement over DKC2. Every thing's clear and well detailed, but nothing has gotten any better. The sound has always been a problem for the DKC series, and it peaked with DKC2. Now we have the same sound effects, and some slightly less interesting background music. Don't get me wrong, DKC3 is a great game, but don't kill your self looking for it. If you're going to get a revolution, just spend 5 bucks and download it onto that. I had more fun with the first two game in the series. Now it's feeling too old and repetitive.
