Dissidia: Final Fantasy is an all around fun game.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy is my latest game to be reviewed. I have set out on a mission to review all the PSP games I play and try to spread the word out into the PSP community on what games are good or just plain awful.

As for Dissidia, this is one of those games that what makes it good is it's game play. It's very addictive and seems pretty fresh when compared to Crisis Core: FFVII(The game that made me interested in Final Fantasy). It's a button mashing adventure as you battle against numerous foes in the story mode. But one thing that I love about this game is the arcade and quick battle modes. It's great to have modes in portable games like this because it makes the game more portable friendly and can deliver that "Pick up and play anywhere" feel.

The audio in this game drives me crazy though. Whether it's the annoying and repetitive music or the same battle cries being yelled out every time you use a move. You would think they would have taking out the ability for your character to say the same thing every five seconds. but apparently not. This is one of those games you have to take out your headphones and just mute.

The controls in this game are pretty solid and easy to use once you figure them out. Switching targets with the l and using one of your primary attacks with the square.

The story in Dissidia is more of a underlying thing in the game. It's all about slashing your enemies til they are defeated, then reach the big boss guy, take him out and receive a cut scene with mostly pointless conversation. But since the game play is so great you normally forget about how boring the story is and just want to go kick some ass.

Load times can be a hassle on the PSP 1000's but thanks to Square Enix you can do a data install on the memory stick making it much faster and a little less annoying.

Final Verdict: Dissidia: Final Fantasy is an overall solid game with a few memorable moments but an overall fun game play. You should pick this up and give it a try it'll be worth the time
