User Rating: 8 | Dishonored PS3

Dishonored is a great stealth game by the top minds who brought you Thief a stealth game to surpass Metal Gear. If you grew up in the PS3 era you probably saw this advertised in a Skyrim box.

Dishonored is about a man named Corvo who becomes a body guard for the high Lord but then get's framed for the murder of him before his eyes and the little girl who he is presumed to protect gets kidnapped. Now it's your goal to prove you didn't do it and save the Lord's daughter Emily.

GAMEPLAY

The Gameplay in Dishonored is good. It lacks sound elements but the overall game doesn't revolve around that. The gameplay rather revolves around getting upgrades and finding different paths and whatever you do, DO NOT KILL PEOPLE! I repeat DO NOT KILL PEOPLE or else you will get the bad ending.

You can scout for upgrades. This makes you an overpowered beast of a stealth assassin. There are many types of adversaries in this game. The infected who have the plague, they are zombies, soldiers, dogs, Walkers, rats and more.

You can either assassinate people or knock them out. You will go on trailing missions and all sorts of stuff.

Dishonored's controls are super polished, you can climb or "mantle" on platforms, warp yourself certain places, knee slide, and more.

You have a hub world where the player can make decisions.

GRAPHICS

Dishonored has very low end graphics for a PS3 game of it's time. Dishonored is rather disgusting and macabre to look at. The character designs are hideous but I think it achieves this well in it's dark mood. The art style of the city is done by Viktor Antonov, Half-Life 2 concept artist. So if you liked that then you will like Dishonored. Again, like most immersive sims every aspect of the game blends into each other so you will have to hide in the shade and the shadows. It's all well animated but I don't like Unreal Engine 3.

SOUND

Very subtle, moody, I like the voice acting. Kinda scary at times though. Doesn't blend footsteps into the world of Dishonored doesn't take advantage of this.

OVERALL

Dishonored is a very good game. I wish I had it. When I get my Sony PS3 back from the repair man I will play it rain or shine and then socialize with my roommate who I prey will still be here.
