The game is just funny. Where else do you have the main character, tag a long a chick who constantly tries to kill him, without letting him know her plans(at least in the beginning), a talking perverted frog, etc. There are a lot of paradies of various things. The D1 cast is back, though only Etna is one of the required storyline characters. It's hard to take them seriously, but who cares, since this is Disgaea.
This game also has replay value which is cool. once you finish the game, you can start over with your items, characters, levels. There are multiple endings. Getting to level 9999 and finishing the item world would take forever to finish.
You can play the game in japanese and english dubbed, and I've personally havent listenned to the english dub. This is how most games should be.
My biggest con is that theres not any anime style cut scenes in this game besides the intro. Once you finish it, you get artwork, and some lines. It's not a bad ending but a few cut scenes in between would given it a slightly higher score.
Bottom line is that if you like RPGs, get this game. Unless you only want something serious, in which you should stick to Final Fantasy games.
