This remake of the classic game made in the 80's was one of the best that comes out of Midway.

The Defender game is a Playstation 2, Game Cube, Xbox, and Gameboy Advance game.However the PS2 is the shining glory of the entire game. With graphics and little to no glitches. The Defender remake was done in 3D, and it puts you in the seat of Commander Meia Kyoto, a rookie defender pilot. Who fights for the GSA, and to destroy the alien scourge known as the Manti. The game has only 13 levels, but those 13 levels have kept me playing this PS2 game for almost 100+ hours. The one thing I didn't like about the game was that there was no customization on if I want to change weapons, or if I want a new paint job. Instead once a upgrade or a weapon was purchased that decision sticks with you till the end. As a huge gamer, I give this game a 10 and 5 ***** because it wasn't the average starfighter type game instead I believe it set the standard. It wasn't appreciated like it deserved. The one reason it didn't do so well was the advertising. If it was advertised correctly we'd be looking a series of Defender Games.
