I got this game as part of Crysis Maximum Edition for $10 on a Steam sale. Great deal. If you have a half decent PC and see CME cheap somewhere, don't hesitate to grab it! Spectacular graphics that are still among the best in 2011. SP mode is interesting with a story that gets more interesting as you progress. The end is spectacular and is a true spectacle. The game suffers in SP from the same syndrome a lot of SP FPS games do and that is you are standing around shooting wave after wave after wave of the same bad guys, level after level after level. They add variety with vehicle levels, dramatic change in level environments, and the enemies themselves change at the end. This game still challenges high end systems and my rig couldn't keep it locked @ 60 FPS with no AA, and my rig is no slouch. See my profile for rig specs.

MP adds a lot of gameplay but if you are going to play MP, Crysis Wars is better for that. A lot of mods for this game worth checking out. The game has Xbox 360 controller support but you need to edit the actionmaps.xml file to get the button mapping as intuitive as possible. I spent several hours doing so. Despite what others say, the game is playable both in SP and MP with a controller. MP will be more challenging with a controller because it will take longer to aim and you can't turn as fast unless you up the sens really high which in turn makes it harder to aim. You can't up the sens in the actionmaps.xml file either or in-game for MP. Classic game that has been highly influential on the game industry. If you haven't played, now is a great time to do so.
