I loved this game! I'm a sucker for 30s vintage dramas, and this fits the bill. It has the right degree of roguery in it to meet the times, but the heroes are still heroes. It's good versus evil, with just a light touch of backstabbing to liven things up. The cutscenes made sense and didn't slow the game down. Everything seemed to jump from the comics of the 30s and that's no bad thing. Everything about the game taps the imagination. The planes and weapons are what you'd wish for. The heroes and villians are a little cliched, but the represent what we want to believe. I think a more nuanced approach would ruin the flow of the game.Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow pales in comparison to this, and I always thought it would be difficult for a game to outdo a movie. I can't think of a single downside to the game.
