Offers some good squad based action though it still hasn't filed of those rough edges.

The Conflict series have always appealed to me and I always pick them up. Not a well known war game series but with this game it will make itself heard. This Conflict unlike the other games is set in present. The basic story is you are sent in to a mission though you get captured through the course of the game the enemy keep knowing your every move. Your team get suspicious and with loss of your best sniper Foley, a new one Sherman she is the second best (note I did say she and she’s quite nice to look at). Your team is: Bradley: the team leader, he is very narrow minded and only thinks about the mission, Jones: the demolitions man, he likes the odd one or two jokes and bonded well with the departed Foley very suspicious as well, Connors: Heavy weapons dude, well he carries all the heavy weapons and very dim but is not as dumb as he looks always causes a racket and finally Sherman: sniper, she is new to the team she seems to like the team and bonds well, though ,Jones always preferred Foley and she likes to take the mick out Mick Connors. With the game engine completely re-vamped has its lost is original flare? No, of course not. The basics are still exactly the same. Though some things have been changed for the good. Well firstly the interactivity has improved with the ability of: climbing, vaulting, zip lining and many more things as well. Also the auto locking target system has changed making it harder to kill people rather than breezing through the game. A new addition which really impresses me is seeing how much skill you have acquired to get to the next position and with a grade system A to E A being excellent E being just enough, all this you can see a noticeable change. The character roles are still the same you still have a sniper, team leader, demolitions ands heavy weapons. You can still pick weapons up but you can also pick up weapons which enemies dropped and this really makes the game a wee bit more realistic. You also have training which allows you to get to grips with the controls, the training also includes: shooting, movement squad control and many more skills you need. Also another feature is you can only carry to main weapons and a pistols. This also adds to realism, I mean you can’t carry 50 weapons on yourself can you The graphics are redone. Not as clunky and square as they past editions have been. The weapons are standard of what current day weapons are. The explosions and spraying of bullets are the realistic and blood effects when hitting enemies in the head are very cool with blood splattering everywhere. Also the environments are standard there is nothing I haven’t seen before which disappointed me but the game play makes up for it The sound is very stirring. The shouting and screaming of enemies dieing is very real and the gibberish coming from them is quite disturbing. Also the gun shots and chopper sound’s are very distinct and very easy to hear also every movement can be heard and many animals in the wild Overall, Conflict Global Storm is a cracking game a vast improvement from the last instalments. With re-vamped game play and better graphics, sound average but its not everything , I’d definitely say have it in your games stand and conflict fans will have time getting used to the new controls system but after training it’ll be easy to understand.
