Hmmmm, now I have always admired the whole concept of being a "demon hunter" but sometimes I dont think everyone is cut out for it, no matter what your lineage may imply. You start off as a young girl named Alyssa, who recieves a letter from Mum to not come home until after her birthday has passed, but as any teenager would do, she didnt listen. As a result, poor youung Alyssa returns home only to find that her mom is missing, along with a perverted old man who tells her that her mom wont be back at all. WAAAAAAA (ok Im done). As Alyssa searches her home, she stumbles across a statue, whose contents contain her only line of defense, against the impending demons/entities. This game plays more of a run/hide type game than the resident evil slash/shoot motif. As a result, you find yourself running away from demons while trying to search for items to free the poor souls in which the demons killed. Any contact with a demon, sends our young heroine into a state of panic, which once is filled and you lose control, ends in her unfortunate demise. On the flip side, once you have freed the poor souls, usually by finding a special item of sentimental value, you get a one on one show down with the demonic entity. Now how do you fight a demon with just holy water...hmmm..FEAR NOT....your little vial of holy water transforms into a Sacred Bow....now this would have been cooler if you could actually aim, but unfortunately your little heavenly arrow can only shoot forward, making boss fights more tedious than they have to be. All in all, an ok horror game. But nothing to compare to the Resident Evil Series.
