The city of heroes and villains combined edition is another unique MMO from ncsoft.It is a game where you get to create your dream hero or villain to fight crime..or cause it.The hero creation system is quite detailed.You first select your archetype (class),then you choose the origin in which you have acquired your archetype. The different origins give you different abilities. The origins are natural,science,magic, and mutation. You then choose your hero's gender and scales.After that you will choose you hero's suit,hairstyle etc. There are many selections making every single hero or villain different from the rest. Once you get into the game you go through the usual tutorial process. But, there is a few things that are unique to this game. There are contacts, people who you talk to and do missions for.The contacts confidence in you rises with each mission done. You can also call your contacts from the contacts menu. You get introduced to many contacts as you go through the game. The leveling system is the usual experience thing. You do have primary and secondary powers though in which you can learn more of them with each level up.The combat is "medium" paced if there is such a thing. Its not like a fast paced shooter game, but its not a slow sort of board game kind of thing. The combat can get fast, though if most of your powers have small recharge times.I have not explored the PvP part of this game but it does look promising considering the possibilities of doing villain mayhem missions and fighting against heroes and vice versa.
