A game I'll be playing for years to come.
The graphics in this game, while a little out dated end up looking pretty damn decent no matter what settings you have them on, I've found the specs to be pretty steep for the age of the game, but its still looks great.
The sounds for the powers are really cool, they suit each power pretty well from my experience. I found the music to be a bit repetitive at some points, but its still pretty good itself. The game-play also turns out to be pretty good, and while it isn't as fast as Marvel Ultimate Alliance or X-Men Legends II, its still a lot of fun. I've found this game has a lot to offer players that like to play in groups, however I found it to be extremely boring and repetitive while playing on your own.
The community overall is very friendly, and of course has its natural bunch of ignorant players that you'd end up wanting to smack in the face with a hammer. As long as you play in Freedom Virtue you will have no problems finding people to play with, if you decide to play in one of the other servers, expect a ghost town.
The character creation system in this game is superior to every other MMORPG I've played, and thats one helluva list. You have complete control over your character, and with the recent addition of in-game costume parts to buy, that customization continues to build. The overall character creation system in this game makes every other games character creation look like a complete joke.
Overall I've enjoyed this game a lot more than Guild Wars, World Of Warcraft, and other such average MMORPGs, this game comes out looking like something new, something different, and a lot of fun overall.
There are Trial keys available for this game at www.mmorpg.com, I'd go give it a shot for yourself, its well worth it.
If you do decide to download the trial, I suggest you play on the Freedom server or the Virtue server, those are the only ones with a solid population as far as I've seen.
