A decent compilation, with a good value

Hi,

I am glad that you are reading my review for Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded. Let's get on with the usual shall we?

Alright well here is a basic lowdown about this game, its got more than 18 classic arcade games dating back from the late 80's to the mid 90's all packed in one UMD (Universal Media Disc). Not only do these classic games are fun to play, they are also fun to play on the bus or when your on "the-go". Some of the games in this compilation are also from Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 1.

Okay let's talk about the game itself now, I'd have to say this is one of the best compilations I have ever played so far just because it has Street Fighter 2 and a couple of other great titles such as Knights of the Round or King of Dragons. These games are very well emulated, the sound are as crisp as it's original arcade counterpart. Also some games supports game-sharing, which Capcom failed to do in their other arcade collection called Capcom Classics Collection Remixed. This is two thumbs up!

This time the game does not have the "achieve this goal and get some unlockable goodies" instead this game uses some sort of slot machine game, which you earn tokens by playing the arcade games. Using them to unlock goodies such as cheats or listening to that particular arcade game soundtrack. It's a bit tedious but nevertheless it'll keep you entertained for a couple of minutes or so trying to match the same pictures just like a regular slot machine from a casino, but otherwise not really that much to do with it other than getting unlockables.

The part where I find the game most and the MOST annoying part about it is that there load times in-game for Street Fighter 2, before and after each match there are load times. This is one of the most disappointing part about this game, which makes it not "arcade-perfect." Some of the sounds also seem to be a bit off timing, nevertheless this is the only worst part I find about this compilation. Something like this should be a no-no porting a 15 year old arcade game, with in-game loading times quite tad disappointing.

Arcade emulation perfect? check, Great for on the-go? check, Great selection of arcade games? check. A game like this should be bought, the titles make this compilation a strong start, its also worth every penny that you have. Don't get me wrong even though Street Fighter 2 has some in game loading times in between matches there is still some good solid juice to drink in this fine collection.

I hope you have enjoyed my review, please be sure to check out my other reviews.
