This latest instalment is a impressive and aggressive journey, though it feels like something's missing.

User Rating: 8 | Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway PS3

Brothers in arms is often referred to as the rip-off of call of duty, But often games in this series (Earned in blood and Road to hill 30) have been better and highly rated, more often than some of the call of duty games (Call of duty 2 and 3). I've been a fan of Brothers in arms and proffered it rather than call of duty (Though call of duty is pretty good), So I was pretty exited when I got this game, But unfortunately this game turns out very average (not like its predecessor, Earned in blood).

This game does have a lot of awesome features that make it a great game, the thrill of being a leader and ordering your teams into different covers to take out or subdue the enemy to go in for the kill. Another thing you will experience here is the games real-like approach to war, You often feel tension and emotion in cut scenes and in battle, and a interesting dialog is used during the game that will also make the player feel more into it. if one of your men dies during a battle, even with only one casualty, its a fatal loss of firepower and makes the battle so much harder which will maybe set you off and maybe make the player feel more emotion than in other First-person shooters. The gun selection is pretty small but during the game, you really don't mind cus you got plenty ammo (If you use it wisely and be a good shooter) and your guns are reasonably effective except for the semi-auto rifles, which will often make you pick up a German Mauser rifle which is dead accurate, effective and there is plenty ammo available. In some parts of this game, it makes you feel as if something's missing, and I find the lack of musical epicenes a big loss in Hells highway and I would like to see a revival in that if there is a sequel.

When taking cover, you come into a 3rd person view which is a new feature that is a really big part of it being unique.

The graphics in Hells Highway is pretty decent, Though not bad and not the best. Facial expression is in some places weak and sometimes very good so the game at times feels a little inspirited. Gun detail is exceptional, along with the amazing sounds coming from the weapons. Another thing Hells Highway can be given credit is great voice acting and emotion in both combat and cut scenes which I think is on par or better than other First person shooters.

Like any game, Hells Highway does have its bad points. In cut scenes, the frame rate is not smooth most of the time which can prove a little frustrating when watching because sometimes its great and the next its all Messed up, it sometimes happens in combat but very rarely. And also as I mentioned earlier, the music is almost non-existent and makes the game feel inspirited during battle and puts a big weight on the game.

Hells highway doesn't fail to impress and is quite a awesome game, just yet a few things get in its way from becoming a masterpiece. Its solid, Unique, emotional and brutal and will impress a lot of FPS fans along with the series fans (Such as me) and keep them happy. Not a bad effort at all.
