An underappreciated game with massive amounts of gory fun packed into it!
Bloodrayne is a great game. Ignore the critics. It is pure vamperic fun and you should love every minute. Admittedly, it is one of those games where the FMVs look miles better than the in game graphics, but the in game graphics aren't even that bad.
Whoever said that the character animation in bloodrayne was crap was talking rubbish. The animation is fun to look at, as you can see when the body parts of the people you have killed fly off, and the bodies actually stay put for the duration of the level. Sometimes, attention to detail is a little off, as after you have retrieved beliar's eye, it's very rarely that you get a cutscene where you can see the difference between rayne's eyes.
Music fits the scene, sometimes there is none where there should be none anyway, and the hacks and slashes of the swords are fun to listen to, if a bit repeptitive.
The one downside ive found is that sometimes you wonder why rayne can't do the moves that she performs in cutscenes during the game as well.
Anyway, it's still a great, fun, (if a bit repetitive) game worthy of your attention and deserves a score higher than 7.2.
