Awesome bit Missing something

User Rating: 8 | Blood Will Tell: Tezuka Osamu's Dororo PS2
I really felt blood will tell was an underated game. The story line alone was worth playing the game for. However throughout the game i got the feeling that it was missing something, like if they had spent a little bit more time with it that it could have been a really amazing game.
Granted that when i played it the graphics had become dated (in the wake of titles such as God of War) it still felt like there was something more that could have been done for instance either having less fiends (the boss type characters) or having less repitition of the fiends.
There were a few spots in the game that were just frustrating, often when controlling hyakimaru's side kick dororo.
One of my favorite features was the way in which you retrieve hyakki's stolen body parts and certain ones have wider implications in the gameplay then just improved stats. For instance when you start playing the voice acting sounds really tinny and metalic, and i was sitting there thinking that the sound was just really ordinary but then you retrieve the vocal cords and hyakki's voice replaces the tinny sounding voice. Other touches such as the game being black and white until you retrieve an eye and hyakki having no ears until you pick those up make the quests feel like more then just stat building.
Overall still and amzing game, worth playing for the story alone, with fairly good gameplay.
