fun , challenging , interesting and just downright enjoyable top play
First off , the graphics : BMT gives us some crude looking trucker and store/bar owner models , but then gives us some good looking trucks and environment to make up for it . sure the other vehicles dont seem to impressive , but they are hardly insulting . the framerate drop sometimes , but this does not take anything away from the gameplay.
Sound is perfect with ,great trucking noise , hilarous radio talk back and good tunes. The trucker , bar owner , store owner voices are well done ,but its pretty tempting to skip conversations , but if you dont you will have some laughs.
Gameplay is superb , from the controls to the actual game itself. first off , controls are easy to master , brake , gas , horn , gear change , steering are all easy to get used to. The trucks are a bit hard to turn and control at fast speeds , you will find yourself clocking up alot of damage unless your skilled at such hard turns and stops.
The Trial by trucking mode (story mode) gives you 60 days to get as much cash by dealing with store owners buying low and selling high. you will need to change trailers for different goods , you get tips on wanted products in different towns from your helpful barman , and you can refuel , repair and customize your rig at the garage . all these places are handy in the one "truck stop". It is quite fun trying to make profit , if you run out of money you can take out at loan at 75 , 100 , 125% . but if you are not wise and dont make up the cash by the required deadline you could be looking at the Game Over screen. So the main aim of the game is to keep a check on your money and this is not as easy as it would seem , so it makes for some challenging yet fun gameplay.
Driving from town to town is'nt as boring as it would seem ,as there are Bikers who want to steel your stash and Crooker cops just looking to bust you. The areas between towns are good looking and the towns them selves can look quite impressive.
If you finish the game with one trucker and dont hate it ( just keeping in mind of the bad reviews) it is worth going round again with the other 3 siblings/truckers.
