For people who can't think

User Rating: 5 | Battlefield 3 PC
Let me start off by saying I'm only commenting on the single player campaign. I'm sure the multiplayer campaigns are awesome - but that's not my cup of tea.
The hype surrounding this game has been enormous - especially here in Sweden. So what did I expect?
Well, first off there has been a lot of talk about the graphics - DX11. And honestly I can't understand why? Sure, it looks nice but everything is so static and I find the particle count to be very low (sitting on GTX580 SLI running the game in Ultra) and the physics to be questionable - especially when buildings disintegrate.
And speaking of disintegrate - why can't I for argument sake shoot out street lights, car lights or any other object that might give my position away? As a matter of fact, why the hell can't I destroy anything in this game?
And why is there such a flat gaming experience? There is one path, and one path only that I must take. And if I stop for a second, enemies just keep respawning and pound me to death. There are no alternate ways to complete a mission. AI sucks and the environment is just not that great to look at or interact with. When thinking about it, I just realized how bad the game really is. I just downgraded it from 7 to 5.

So to sum up:

-) A game for people who either can't or don't like to think while playing games

-) Non interactive environments

-) Authentic level = 0 Enemies just respawn until you either move or die

-) Graphics are too hyped. Particle counts are low

-) Feels like a console port because of it linearity
