The Greatest Baseball Game Ever.

Back in 1991 the 8 game World Series between the Jackson Warcats and The Wild Side packed sold out stadiums for each game of the tightly contested championship. It went the distance, all eight game, the perfect end to 2 full years of near constant play... until the battery died.

In one fell swoop an entire livelyhood was lost. Ceaseless hours of customization, created characters, and 47 gajillion dollars was lost just because someone forgot to hold the reset button in. Since that time my friend and I have bought no fewer than 8 used copies of Baseball Stars, each one a failure. Dead batteries all. In that time we've also tried just about every single incarnation of baseball for home consoles there is, all seeking one thing;

The resurrection of the Warcats and the Wild Side.

Why on Earth can we not have a baseball game with createable teams? Why not? Why do we have to have the same Yankees/Red Sox bullhoggery crammed down our throats year after year? Just one game, fellas, one game!! One game to resurrect the greatest teams ever to play in our living rooms... OUR TEAMS.

Baseball Stars was apparently at least 19 years ahead of it's time.
