A good start, but needs improvement.

Avatar the Last Airbender tries to bring the avatar world to the Wii. This game offer an action/RPG style of game play, but is unable to reach its full potential in both categories. The RPG element of this game involves completing side quests to earn more money and equipping items to your character to increase their stats. But unlike most RPGs there is not a skill points system. The combat for this game is basically a button masher with small motion controls thrown in. The problem here is, more then half the time, the motion controls for special moves are unresponsive.

This game does have great music, though, and offers the same voice actors from the show providing the voices for the characters. This games graphics resembled the TV series rather then going for a realistic look which was a smart move for this game.

Unfortunately, while this game looks and sounds good it is not enough to save this game. Avatar's combat system is boring and repetitive causing gamers like me to become bored with this game after twenty minutes. Bottom line the creators of avatar were in the right mindset, but they have a long way to go if they are every going to make a game worthy of the title Avatar the Last Airbender.
