Here's what's new in the Wii U re-release.

Nintendo has released a new gameplay trailer for Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, an upcoming remaster of the Wii and GameCube classic for Wii U. The five-minute video showcases some of the new features being added to the game for its re-release.

Among these are a map display and inventory management on the Wii U GamePad controller, the ability to play exclusively on the GamePad, and Miiverse stamps. Those looking for an extra challenge can play the Hero Mode, in which Link takes double damage and no hearts are dropped.

As previously detailed, a limited edition version of Twilight Princess HD will come packaged with a Wolf Link Amiibo, which unlocks a new dungeon called the Cave of Shadows. The dungeon tasks players with defeating waves of tactically difficult enemies, such as the ever-reviving Shadow Beasts from the Twilight Realm.

The game will support the other Legend of Zelda Amiibo characters from the Smash Bros. roster (e.g. Toon Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, etc.). Some of these, such as Link and Toon Link, can be used to replenish arrows. Zelda and Sheik, meanwhile, can restore health.

Progress saved to the Amiibo from Twilight Princess will carry over in some way to the upcoming The Legend of Zelda game on Wii U, though further details have not been announced.

Twilight Princess HD is being developed by Australian studio Tantalus and is due out on March 4, 2016.
