Playdead's 2010 game Limbo is a "must-have," according to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, who says that's part of the reason why Microsoft is bringing it to Xbox One. He made the comment on Twitter.

All of the 1 million+ people who bought an Xbox One during the console's launch weekend in November 2013 will receive a free copy of Limbo for the new console. The game will also be available to purchase from the Xbox Games Store on Xbox One sometime in the future.

Microsoft has not yet announced a specific release date or pricing details for Limbo on Xbox One.

Playdead's current project is 2015's intriguing-looking title, Inside, which was announced during E3 2014 in June.

Limbo was, to me, one of the most memorable last-generation games. It was dark and desolate, and a lot of fun. Did you play it? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
