Microsoft has released another video showcasing the changes that have been made to the Xbox One store as part of its upcoming "major" Dashboard update.

While previous videos have focused on the redesigned home screen and store, this video is all about the Avatars and OneGuide. In the first video, which you can watch above, Larry Hryb and the Xbox engineering team's Richard Irving show how Avatars are coming back to the Xbox experience "in a big way."

As well as improving the quality of the Avatar models, Microsoft has integrated them into community areas, activity feeds, and different game hubs.

The second video, which is available below, shows how Microsoft has redesigned the OneGuide app to present more relevant content. It does this partly by surfacing what's trending and also by providing app channels which allow you to peek at programs. Watch the video for more details.

The New Xbox One Experience is scheduled to launch on November 12, along with another long-awaited feature: backwards compatibility.

Microsoft has said there will be more than one hundred games supported when backwards compatibility launches, with "hundreds" more coming later. All future Xbox 360 Games With Gold titles will also be backwards compatible. The initial lineup of supported games can be seen here.

Criterion Games has confirmed its critically acclaimed 2008 racing game Burnout Paradise will be one of the last-generation titles playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility, but didn't say when it will be available.
